The tires of the SUV crunched along the gravel driveway of the Woodland House, and August's glazed-over eyes raked over the massive, castle-like building. Hand-placed stone walls surrounded gothic windows on all three floors. Each one was framed by wrought-iron swirls and designs, with decorative roses and sharpened metal thorns that prevented escape. The east, west, and middle wings of the estate were noted by large circular towers and the roof was comprised of several sharp points. A dense treeline surrounded the home, hiding the tall and electrified iron fence around the perimeter the massive plot of land. Ty had driven past it over a mile ago. Here they were.
